About Delivia:

Born and raised in GA. Originally from Pelham, GA and residing in the metro Atlanta area for over 10 years. I have lived the best of both worlds with growing up in the country, but living in the city! Even though I'm a GA girl at heart, I genuinely appreciate being near a beautiful beach! I love swimming, dancing, cooking, laughing, and spending time with my awesome family and friends!

Why I Became A Doula

Every since I was a child I’ve been obsessed & fascinated with pregnant women and babies! I witnessed my first labor and birth at age 14. I knew at that moment I wanted to be apart of delivering babies! ... But wait, Doulas don’t deliver babies! Yes, that’s true, but I'm also an aspiring Midwife whom always had a passion for helping women give birth and help prevent traumatic experiences during pregnancy, labor, and birth! Besides my interest in women heath, I have experience as an Assistant Teacher for Early Head Start, Dialysis Technician, & healthcare office settings with obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.

During my pregnancies, I wish I knew back then what I know now regarding the importance of having a Birth Doula. Doulas can help cut back on time spent in labor, reduce a mom's anxiety, lower the rate of medical interventions including C-sections and improve mother and baby bonding postpartum.

I do this work to prevent birth trauma, PTSD, and help my clients have better birth outcomes; because women and people deserve better than just surviving the childbirth experience. I truly believe it's possible to have both a healthy baby AND an amazing childbirth experience. You deserve it because you're worth it!
